Asphalt rejuvenation is a preventative maintenance process involving 
the restoration of the asphalt pavement binder to a near newly manu-
factured condition. The rejuvenation process is based on the measur-
able parameters of viscosity, penetration, ductility, asphalt content, 
skid resistance,and durability, extending the effective service life of 
the pavement. 



REJUVENATION PRODUCTS 

UPT offers its own superior rejuvenation product called CPR
(Conditioning Pavement Rejuvenator).

   life of asphalt pavement indefinitely. 




REJUVENATION APPLICATIONS
 
1. The rejuvenation process restores the surface to a near-new cond-
    ition, comparing favourably to its original viscosity, penetration and 
    ductility values. 
2. Waterproofs and imparts a high degree of non-reactive chemical, fuel 
    and petroleum byproducts. 
3. Can be applied to various road surfaces, such as hot mix asphalt, chip-
    seal, microsurfacing, slurry seal, and opened to traffic almost immed-
    iately after treatment. 
4. Crack Fusion: a mixture of rejuvenator pretreatment and rejuvenator 
    modified hot poured crack filler that utilizes a thermally driven diffusion 
    of crack filler into the matrix being repaired. 
5. Overlay Fusion/Welding: a rejuvenator pretreatment that temporarily 
    lowers the substrate's softening point, permitting the welding of a mono-
    lithic bond between the new hot mix heat and the substrate.  This further 
    allows the use of very thin 1" hot mix overlay, resulting in no delamination 
    and drastically reduced reflection of cracks. 
6. Crack Mending TM: location-specific applications of rejuvenators that 
    slightly soften and swell the asphalt, allowing cracks to be effectively 
    healed by traffic. 
7. The combination of RAP (Recycled Asphalt Pavement) and asphalt 
    rejuvenator eliminates blue smoke pollution, and does not necess-
    itate heat requirements or the use of hot mix plant.
